Biography

Luca Lucentini, born in Rome, 7 August 1964, is Director of the Section of Water Quality and Health at the Italian National Institute of Health. Expert for the World Health Organization, the European Union and the United Nation Organization, to provide scientific support for water quality management and decision-making processes, including the development and implementation of regulatory acts, standards and guidelines, scientific opinions, risk analysis processes (water safety plans, sanitary safety plans), training and communication, research, monitoring and control of activities for the protection and monitoring of the water cycle and of the integrated water cycle. Responsible for international cooperation programs on water and health in many countries of the European, African and Asian areas. Author of more than 80 peer-reviewed scientific publications in international journals.
