Biography

Hélène El Missouri, citizen of the Principality of Monaco, works at the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation since 2011. Her main mission is to ensure the complete monitoring of the projects supported by the Foundation on an international scale in the three priority areas: climate change and renewable energy, biodiversity, water and desertification, and this, from selection to execution. In continuous connection with the protagonists of the environment that operate in various fields, whether political, scientific and at the level of civil society, Hélène El Missouri has acquired over the years a comprehensive view of current issues. No doubt, water appears to be one of the trickiest challenges: to coincide access to water for the population deprived from this absolute right and protection of the environment in a sustainable way. In 2015, Hélène El Missouri has began to work on a new challenge: fighting for a plastic-free Mediterranean sea. From land to water, the fragments of this super resistant material propagate at a dizzying rate. From the Principality of Monaco, Hélène El Missouri federates countries of the Mediterranean basin around concrete action to stop plastic pollution
