The power of WATER, often underestimated or neglected by man!
Aqua Film Festival focuses on the power of this element, which can be disastrous, as recently reported by the media, as well as on its beauty, benefits, and scarcity in the Summer and in desert lands.
During the fifth edition of the Festival, that will take place in Rome on May 1 to 3, 2020, initiatives will be carried out, aiming at supporting prevention measures in those areas affected by damages caused by floods.
A Special Award “AquaGranda” will be firstly dedicated to the high water phenomenon in Venice, and then to Piedmont, Liguria (and other regions equally affected by floods, like the South of Italy and the French Riviera). We will show a selection of films, with the purpose of involving a wider audience and helping the authorities take responsibility, to prevent the invaluable damages caused to our artistic and natural resources.
We look forward to receiving your contributions, also shot by smartphone. Works will be screened and awarded at AquaFilmFestival, which is also dedicated to the municipalities affected by floods, through a specific fundraising coordinated by the non-profit association Universi Aqua, the event organizer.
