THE CALL TO PARTICIPATE TO THE 7TH EDITION OF AQUA FILM FESTIVAL IS OPEN
Deadlines February 28th and March 21st
from April 20th to 23rd 2023, in Rome and on Mymovies.it
The seventh edition of Aqua Film Festival, international event focused on films dedicated to water, and organized by the nonprofit Cultural Association UNIVERSI AQUA, will take place in Rome and on Mymovies.it, from April 20th to 23rd, 2023. The festival (free admission, subject to availability) aims at representing through films and documentaries, the extraordinary world of water in its different values and functions, as well as at raising awareness, and discovering new talents in the world of cinema and audiovisuals. Films and great stories linked to environmental sustainability are screened during the festival, which was founded and is directed by Eleonora Vallone, painter, stylist, author, actress, journalist, and water wellness activities expert
The CALL TO PARTICIPATE is open from November 3rd 2022. The deadline to submit films is February 28th 2023. Regulation is available on https://aquafilmfestival.org/en/competition/rules-and-regulations/
Two sections are scheduled:
OFFICIAL COMPETITION AQUA FILM FESTIVAL
- Short films, up to 25 minutes
- Mini short films, up to 3 minutes (film credits excluded)
AQUA & STUDENTS COMPETITION– National/International*
Thanks to the collaboration with schools and Universities, a concurrent competition called AQUA & STUDENTS is organized, open to mini short films (up to 3 minutes) made by students from all over the world. Works will be shot with a smartphone and WATER, in all its forms and functions, will be the protagonist.

SIDE COMPETITION: AQUA & COOKING*
The competition is dedicated to sustainable cooking recipes, that will be evaluated both for the origin of food products and for the creativity. Up to 3 minutes. Aqua & cooking recipes have to be sent to: aff@aquafilmfestival.org or festival@aquafilmfestival.org
You will have the opportunity to become Aqua Supporter, helping the Association UNIVERSI AQUA to carry out its activities for the protection of the environment.
The Festival is organized by the Association to achieve voluntary and social goals: by providing a contribution of thirty-five Euros, you will have the possibility to participate to the yearly workshop on film shooting with a smartphone, and to be involved in events aimed at the safeguard of environment and natural resources.
