The Casa del Cinema in Rome was completely restored and inaugurated on the 18th September 2004 by the Under-Secretary in the Council of Ministers, and saw the presence of practically the entire Italian film world, who enthusiastically welcomed the Under-Secretary. At present, it has three screening theatres equipped with the most up to date digital technology (the Cinecittà theatre, the Kodak theatre and the Gian Maria Volontè theatre). It also has an open-air theatre equipped with a screen, dressing rooms and toilet facilities, two exhibition halls and a cafeteria-restaurant run by Palombini.

The hall used for carrying out the AQUA FILM FESTIVAL seven edition is: the SALA CINECITTA’ with a capacity of 118 seats. It is equipped with digital projection systems for multimedia formats and DCP, stereoscopic DOLBY 3D, 35mm film and a WI-FI network.
